Biddy has launched the Public Works Bidding Almanac, a free state-by-state reference for the laws that govern public construction bidding across all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
The almanac gives public owners, architects, engineers, and contractors one place to research competitive bidding thresholds, award standards, prevailing-wage rules, bid security, and addenda requirements before a project goes out to bid.
Public bidding requirements for every state
Public works bidding law changes from one state to the next. A project that requires sealed competitive bidding in New York may follow a different threshold, publication schedule, or award standard in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Texas.
Each guide puts the controlling requirements into a consistent format and links back to primary statutes and agency sources. Verification dates show when the underlying rules were last checked.
Compare public bidding laws across states
The almanac includes a state comparison tool for teams working across multiple jurisdictions. Users can compare requirements side by side or open the coverage map to move directly to a state guide.
The Public Works Bidding Almanac is an educational reference, not legal advice. State statutes and official agency guidance remain the controlling authority.
