Competitive bidding threshold

Local government public works construction over $100,000 must be competitively bid, under O.C.G.A. Title 36, Chapter 91.1 Governments may use competitive sealed bidding or competitive sealed proposals; contracts under $100,000 are exempt, and road construction is governed separately.

Bids must be advertised at least twice, with the first notice at least four weeks before the bid opening.
