Competitive bidding threshold

Award standard
Contracts go to the lowest responsible bidder.
Multiple-prime contracts
Alaska has no statewide multiple-prime mandate. Unlike New York's Wicks Law or Pennsylvania's Separations Act, a single general contract is permitted.
Prevailing wage
Alaska's Little Davis-Bacon Act (AS Title 36) sets prevailing wages on public construction contracts over $25,000.1 Rates are set from the determination issued at least 10 days before bids are due and hold for the life of the contract or 24 months, whichever is shorter.
Document distribution & addenda
Alaska DOT&PF §102-1.11 requires every addendum to be issued to all holders of bidding documents on the plan holders' list or posted on the Department's website, and lets the Department change the bid-opening date by addendum.3
Record of change
Alaska's Little Davis-Bacon Act (AS Title 36) requires prevailing wage on public construction contracts over $25,000, with rates published twice a year by the Department of Labor and Workforce Development.
