The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation has opened a dedicated New York State Parks planroom for public construction opportunities across the state's park system.
The planroom was created on February 24, 2026, and published its first project the next day: wildlife habitat corridor improvements at James Baird State Park.
Public works projects across New York State Parks
A second project followed on May 21 for back-of-house rehabilitation at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center amphitheater. Together, the first two releases span environmental improvements and major public-event infrastructure.
Each project has its own public record for bid documents, contracts, dates, and planholder registration.
One dedicated planroom for park projects
Contractors can use the New York State Parks planroom to find active opportunities and obtain the documents for the projects they intend to bid. Registration connects each contractor to the project and its future communications.
For the project team, the same workflow keeps the bid set, planholder list, addenda, and distribution history together from publication through bid opening.
