Biddy launches electronic bid submission for public works

Product

Biddy has launched electronic bid submission for public works projects, connecting the contractor's submission to the same record used to distribute the bid documents.

Released on August 30, 2021, the workflow allows an eligible planholder to choose the contracts being bid and upload the submission through the project.

Electronic bids tied to the bidder and contracts

The resulting record identifies the bidder, selected contracts, uploaded files, and submission time. Those pieces stay together instead of being distributed across email attachments and separate tracking sheets.

Access follows the bidding roles on the project. Planholders see the submission workflow, while authorized bidding managers review bids and download submitted files.

One public bid record from documents to submission

Electronic submission connects the final bid to the project that already holds the documents, planholders, contract dates, addenda, and activity history. The project team can follow the bidder from obtaining the set through submitting a bid in one system.
